Greetings once again! Just a few quick pictures and update on our lives. We have celebrated several birthdays with family and friends.
If I don't feel like cooking all I need to do is plan a coal pot meal and the children fight over who gets to cook!
Kenny has kept busy with Salt savings share outs.
The children and Amanda keep busy at school. I miss teaching but it also takes a lot of stress out of my life to have a teacher!
We enjoyed s'mores and a bonfire with friends. If I don't feel like cooking all I need to do is plan a coal pot meal and the children fight over who gets to cook!

Marvin and Grace Zeiset came to visit for two weeks. In the middle of their stay, Ron and Marissa Hoover flew back to the US suddenly for health reasons and Marvins graciously agreed to stay until Joel Burkholders were back from furlough. They helped Jodi hold down the fort in Assomdree. And as the picture above shows, Grace was a wonderful grandma to any child that came near her.
We had a very special day, mid November. We had a New Hope Vo-tech school homecoming (in their words.) Many people shared memories and lessons they learned at the shop. It was also a farewell for Duane and Kaylene in a way as they left a week and a half later.
The shop has had approximately 43 students, 5 administrators, 4 native teachers, and Richmond (far left) represents the accounting/ legal work part of it. God has blessed this work beyond our dreams!
Harvesting bananas. Its so fun to grow your own things!
Amanda's friends came to visit over Thanksgiving.
We babysat one day. Kelsey and Andrea had fun sewing.
Dakota and Baby Efua were fascinated with each other.
This little boy is a miracle child. He was playing in the ocean and was swept out to deep water. When someone noticed him and pulled him in, he had passed out and they said he died at one point. Regardless of what happened, I now hug him a little tighter and thank God for sparing his life!
We were privileged to be part of the shop and Agri-Plus Christmas celebration at Gary and Whitney.
Richmond planned a Carols night for all the Palm Mission native and missionary staff. It was a very enjoyable evening singing together.
And we also enjoyed the Salt Staff Christmas celebration. There were lively games, good food, and lots of visiting and laughing.
Austin and Brent have made good friends with Richmond's son. They were everywhere all day together.
The transition from loans to savings is complete. Jay recognized each of the staff for their hard work in the past few years. It is yet another place where God has blessed beyond our imagination!
Yesterday the children gave a program at church. Jodi and Amanda had been practicing with them and they did well. Especially since the group was never the same from one week to the next.
We visited with people for quite awhile after church. The children were well entertained playing with each other.
