July
We really enjoy visitors. I often tell them, "The best part is it gives me a good excuse to sit on the beach for a day." And it's even more special to sit with friends and watch a cute baby sleep!
This group also did a lot of work for us. The Salt house was in need of a face lift. With 15 people working, it didn't take long to get a lot done.
The walls had multiple layers of paint, some of which had bubbled from moisture in the block walls. They spent hours scraping and sanding walls.
Lots of women fabric shopping equals lots of fabric! And some other random pictures from our month.
Have I mentioned how much I love living near this beautiful ocean?
The day before school was going to start, they started...... We were hoping to have a teacher this year but it wasn't looking like that was going to happen. But as God always does, He takes care of the details. Even though we started school at home a teacher will be coming the end of August/ beginning of September. I love teaching but I know I don't have the time to do it justice so I am happy to hand it over!
We walked down to Iture one evening. Someone got reverse and shot through this brick wall. (Several days before we came along. I'm glad I wasn't around)
This was taken at Kenny's request. As a truck driver he appreciates their load hauling abilities. Why not two excavators at once?
And we are having an okra harvest! Poor Brent forgot how tough okra stalks are and picked the whole plant!Someone told us when we moved on the mission field, "Never push your children aside to do mission work. They are your first mission and they will be your biggest asset in reaching people." We have found it to be very true. Kelsey attracts children and in turn opens friendships with their moms for me.

Hours and hours.......
They love to pressure you into buying things at the castle. Andy handled it well! Maybe the hat helped!

July was busy with hosting and VBS in Assomdree. But God always takes care of his own. There were days when I wasn't sure how we could keep running and running, But if we take one step at a time, we find the strength we need. This fall looks a little slower pace and I look forward to handing over the teaching and catching up on some things, and possibly starting some Bible Studies as well. It seems there are so many opportunities. Oh for wisdom to know what to do next!
