January
The month of January disappeared in a whirlwind of visitors. It was so much fun even if we were tired till all was said and done! Brian and Crystal Zeiset were here and it was extra special because they were here in 2019 when we were barely keeping our heads above water. They would agree that a lot has changed since then. We couples went out for lunch and he shared a topic on marriage. We were so thankful for extra people around to babysit so we could enjoy it to the fullest!
My sister Amanda came with our first visitors and is staying till mid February. Kelsey is going to be lost when she leaves. It has been wonderful having an extra set of hands that knows how my house operates while we had visitors.
With her help we finally got our front door painted. She learned that painting, especially with oil based paint, and children don't mix real well.
I don't know what this line of dump trucks was waiting for but it was a lot of them! Of course the boys were excited about them.
This work crew from New York came to rewire the Salt house. Many electricians had done work there and they pulled an amazing amount of spare wires out. Hopefully everything works like it is supposed to now!
Barry and Elaine Burkholder are here for 6 weeks filling in at the shop for Duane and Kaylene. Duanes are in the US to have their baby and had a little girl last week.
Coloring at our back porch Bible Studies at Iture.
Kelsey tied Rich Love's teddy on her back.
We spent an evening out by the ocean. The boys had fun looking in the tidal pools for fish and other sea creatures.
We parked where they are working on the sea wall. Little boys like big toys!
We have been doing a Bible study in our village as well. It is small. It is starting slowly, but I am very ok with that. Its been fun connecting with a few more children in our village as well as spending time with the ones we already knew.
We took some of our visitors for a walk to Iture and met BrEchol. The men chatted for a long time.
Lancaster has come to Ghana! It is a high end resort and I am almost sure we will never got to Lancaster in Accra, but we will always look for the sign!
February has continued with visitors. We really do enjoy each and every one and will never turn anyone away. Kenny is in the US for his nephew's funeral which is today. It is a very quick trip so the children and I stayed in Ghana. It actually worked out well since my aunt and a friend flew in the day he flew out. So we are keeping busy although we will be ready to have Daddy back again!
