New Hope School

School has been going well for Kenny. Recently they sold and dismantled this truck that had been sitting behind the shop. They tried to keep the work going inside but that truck was such a fascination! They used a tricycle to haul it away so it needed to be in pieces. It is a lot of fun to take things apart when you don't have to worry about putting them back together! The cab is off! Hauling away the motor. Thankfully Living Hope has a skid loader they could use! You never know what will happen in a day. They all went to see the python that a neighbor caught in a trap. Having so few people around means the children have to stay with Dad if the ladies are going shopping. Thankfully they can usually entertain themselves just fine around the shop. And if he has a minute, Kenny gets to spend time with them. Right now they are working on getting the bus ready for Living Hope's new school year. And the various vehicles in the shop. Gratitude

 The past weeks have been full of many emotions. Not just me, in Ghana, but everyone, everywhere. As we realize this pandemic is affecting us, and will continue to affect us, much longer than we were hoping. We start realizing what we knew all along. We aren't in control of our lives. We never were, but we liked to think we had a little say in it. We feel frustrated when week after week our hopes of being able to plan events for the rest of the year are put on hold. I have dealt with a lot of ups and downs and am still experiencing that. But in the past week or two something has changed. I will find myself watching my children play and be overwhelmed with a feeling of gratitude. I see the men of the house come and go and suddenly I am overwhelmed with gratitude. I watch a gorgeous sunrise and I am overwhelmed with gratitude. It is a feeling that hits me suddenly. And it is a blessing from God. I'm grateful for my children who are growing so fast. I want to treasure these days w...
