Just a few random things from our lives recently! Neighbor children playing in our yard. Kelsey got her hair braided again. We wound a braid around and pinned it to keep it all together. Unfortunately it didn't last very long. She has so many short frizzy hairs that even in braids it looks pretty bad in several days. She loves working at school work outside! And she turned 9! It is so hard to believe she is that old already! She is a huge help with the boys, laundry, and cleaning. She has been begging for a traditional Kente cloth dress. I made her one for her birthday. We started the Bible study in our village. Here Kris and Merlin play with the children afterwards. Austin loves preschool books. He was so happy with this picture he colored! One Saturday we took a family day / parts run / shopping trip to Takoradi. We drove around a little and saw this huge stadium. We drove up a steep hill to this bluff over looking a Navy yard. Whe

One thing tropical countries are known for is their fruit. I thought I would share some of them. Unfortunately I discovered I don't have pictures of everything. The main one I am missing is mangoes. Brent loves them and will eat a whole dish full if I let him. Everyone else eats them but they aren't a favorite. Oranges, lemons, and limes are all very common too. Bananas are always handy to have around for a snack. And even though I don't care for bananas, these are good! Especially frozen with a bit of chocolate drizzled on them! This is the only picture I have of star fruit. Its just the end of one. Kenny and Kelsey both love star fruit. They aren't super common. Someone told me they can grow them here but they aren't from here. So I take it they aren't a native plant. The insides of a passion fruit. Another one that is available but not as common.
