Random Snapshots

Here are some random pictures from our past month.
Kelsey and neighbor children reading together. They read quite well. She helped them with the bigger words.
We had a sand box made for the boys. It gets well used and does such a good job of entertaining that the amount of sand drug into my house even seems worthwhile. Here three boys came over and were helping make tunnels and hills.
The first days we had our dog, the neighbor children were all terrified of her. Slowly they have overcome their fear. This picture was the first day the small boy in the front didn't have to cry over her. He comes almost every afternoon, but would either play inside or on the porch with her penned off.
One rainy morning the boys colored while I sewed.
Brent fell asleep and then we needed to leave for the shop. He actually slept over all the bumps on the way there!
We stopped at a carpenters shop one day. I was amused by their rocking horses!
Kelsey likes to tie her dolly on her back like the Ghanaians. Brent wanted to try it but it sure didn't last long!
Eating oranges. I just quarter them and they slurp the juice out.
One Sunday afternoon we went to the beach.
The children loved the water.
We went where the beach is protected by rocks out farther. The waves were just right for the children to enjoy.
Moto rides are always a treat!
We had a week of frequent power outages. I was thankful we have a holding tank of water that is gravity flow. I just needed candles to wash my dishes.
Brent has been suffering from heat rash almost since the first week we were here. Now Austin has it all over his back too. I am trying different things but so far nothing has worked very well.
Sometimes it is so hot you just want to lay on the floor under the fan! Actually this was an evening when they had been playing on the floor.
We had some heavy thunderstorms. I don't think storms in the US were as intense as here.
We finally got our dog home. For the most part Brent loves Molly. She puts up with an awful lot!
We walked through Atonkwa one evening. This hill is much easier to walk up then drive up I think.
I have been getting some sewing done. These are the curtains in our bedroom.
