Many Hands

I had a plaque made like this for Kenny for Christmas last year. Never dreaming what the year ahead would hold.
This is our little golden valley, on a beautiful fall morning.

Many hands make light work. Most of us have likely heard the saying since we were little children. I don't know that I have ever experienced it as I have the past weeks. What a blessing family, friends and church family have been.
Life has been crazy, we decided (the end of November) to have public auction on January 4. We will sell some house hold items, a bunch of shop stuff, miscellaneous bigger items (from the swing set to the John Deeres) and then the property. It was a hard decision but we do feel at peace about it. We both know we will miss this place. We love our little peaceful valley. My dream kitchen, Kenny's big shop, the deer that I have a love-hate relationship with (I love seeing them in the early morning or golden twilight but hate when they eat my strawberry plants to the nubbins.) But we did feel like we were being asked to let it all go. If God would have wanted us to stay, would He not have provided a renter? So we are cleaning, sorting, boxing things up, burning things, and hauling things off. There have been times when I looked at the big picture and almost had anxiety attacks. But then I take a deep breath, lean on God a bit harder, and take one day at a time! And then when I needed it most came the many hands. Hands that willingly sacrificed their time and talents to bless us, and asked nothing in return. Hands that provided...........
A babysitter for the energetic boys.
A ride home from school for Kelsey.
Dresses sewed for both Kelsey and I.
Meals at random times, but always just when I need the lift.
Dear friends and family who offered to come help (and ended up scrubbing more dirt then I am sure they ever thought any good housewife would allow to accumulate)😊!!
The man that helped Kenny organize his shop for sale.😉
A warm handshake Sunday morning and a "We are praying for your family!"
A little note of encouragement.
And many
          many
                                many more!
We have been blessed beyond measure, exceedingly, abundantly, above imagination!!
