January

While our friends and family in the US enjoyed snow and cold, we enjoyed a more relaxed schedule and tried to stay cool.
A turkey showing off in the middle of the road.

A Saturday afternoon swim.

On the way to Accra one day. The huge loads never cease to amaze us.

We picked up new mottos for the facilitators from SALT. Typical Ghana style, everyone knew how to load them. Kenny knew what he wanted but stood back and let them try their way.

Finally loaded and ready to go.

It was a beautiful evening to ride home.

We spent an evening at Hans Cottage. We were finalizing details for our missionary retreat there the end of February. Kelsey caught this fish. Her brothers were quite proud of her!

I spent quite a bit of time painting in January. It was high time for a fresh look!

We spent two nights at a beach resort for the children's Christmas gift.

They were in the water early and late.

With a few breaks on the beach.

Austin started sewing patches. Kelsey has been and it is great to have something worthwhile to occupy him evenings.

Looking ahead the next few weeks look busy. Missionary retreat is the end of February. We are looking forward to the teaching and being refreshed. Kenny's brother and family are visiting the beginning of March. And the middle of March is VBS in our village.
