March

This is our favorite spot to buy eggs. One of Kenny's former students lives here with his "Auntie". The farm is at a different location and sometimes we stop there insead.
No where else have I bought such nice eggs! Perfectly clean and they are very fresh with oranger yokes then most you buy around here.
One Saturday we visited our missionary friends about an hour away. They have a farm that boys come and work at. He teaches them life lessons as well. It is very close to what Kenny does at the shop, just not teaching but helping them earn some money to get started in their lives.
Their farm is on a hill and has a beautiful view! You can learn more about them at Fields Of Hope Ghana .org.
We went to a beach close to their house. It was beautiful!
Patricia baked a quiche and some meat pies one day when she was at my house. The meat pies are a common street food here, filled with a variety of things. These had chicken and vegetable.
A work crew was here and we took the ladies to see Mary, the woman that stamps fabric. We really enjoyed our time there! Maybe some day I can get better pictures and explain the process.
Then we took the ladies to meet their husbands for Covid tests at a clinic. The ladies from the mission here did some shopping while they got that taken care of. And we found a man selling brand new Tupperware!
We visited Burnell and Lisa at Assomdwee one Saturday. It was a fun afternoon/evening and we got to see the progress on Wayne and Dorothy's house.
Our "homeschool" group went to this man that paints with his mouth. He was crippled as a child from polio. He painted a picture for us and then the children all painted or colored too.
The little ones used their imagination.
The bigger ones tried to replicate his.

I love his paintings! I am dreaming of giving him pictures of some local scenes to paint for me.

He was so happy to have us all there. His wife and youngest child were there as well. She wasn't feeling well because she had been shocked very hard several days before.
One Sunday one of Kenny's students called and said he is coming to bring us a gift. A bag full of these spiny lobsters. They were ok, but I definitely like other kinds of sea food more!
Kelsey was so happy to tie Della on her back one day that Patricia was working at our house. She even got her windows washed and he fell asleep.
One Sunday Kenny preached at a village church. The pastor from this church had preached for him one time at our church. It is just starting and was mostly children. I didn't get a picture of the building but it was just a simple bamboo structure with palm branches for a roof. It felt very fitting to be there on Palm Sunday!
This lady was the first connection with this village. She came to Living Hope because she had diabetes and had no way to buy medicines. She also didn't have a place to stay and our church helped donate things to build this cute house for her. Living Hope is supplying her with medicines and she is doing very well.
And of course we spent some time at the beach! It has been very warm! We had several beautiful days but now we are back to hot and humid!
School is going well for Kenny. There are always challenges and his students this year seem to push the boundaries a bit harder than his other ones. Right now they are having almost a week long break for Easter and hopefully he and everyone else will come back refreshed and energized!
